Orbe – Incremental

Spanish techno upstart Orbe follows up a knockout 2023 with this incisive new 12" for KSR. Previous outings on Axis, Token and Semantica have shaped out his presence in the big room scene with a steely, snaking style focused on caustic sound design and pummelling rhythm, which comes through in abundance on these three new productions. 'Incremental' is a lithe, creeping cut which marks out space through canny use of reverb, leaving Gianluca Caiati ample room to weave his own nocturnal tapestry for a sharply focused remix. 'Velocity' tunnels deep into the catacombs of contemporary techno, and 'Push - Pull' completes the set with an equally immersive trip through icy atmospherics with a thumping kick as your guide.
