Sev Dah – Proletarijat 011

Proletarijat's 11th EP is a perfectly hypnotic one from assured techno artist Bosnian-born, Sweden-based Sev Dah. Right from the off, the sound designs of 'Igman' are seductively sleek. The drums are brilliantly linear and underpinned by dubby bass weight as urgent synth motifs peel off the groove at pace. 'Hum' is similar but with more rusted textures and gritty percussive loops. The EP highlight is maybe closing track 'Prva Eskadrila' which is a fine bit of turbocharged mechanical funk. It's robust and hard, but also frankly irresistible.
