RWN – Dancing In Circles EP

A four-track MicroHouse EP comes from DJ and Producer RWN, marking one of the very few dedicated packages that the Frenchman has created thus far. 'Dancing in Circles' is thought-provoking and borderline liminal, feeling like a mathematical equation at points in its use of dry, reverbed synths and negative space. Track 1, 'Jan Itor', even takes some drone influences in its progressions, the driving beat repeating over space breakbeats and distant techno pangs against an atmospheric synth background. 'Vortex' is more of an active participant, putting the percussion downstage and allowing the house instincts to take over - and the Dragutesku remix sees it undergo a dramatic transformation into a dark goth-rave-inspired cut. Closing off, the title track feels the most 'scientific'. The synth loops and acid stings circling around in your mind - this EP has a lot to offer, allow your mind to be opened.
