Funk E – OGEWHITE016

Next in the OGE white series is Romania's minimal funk maestro Funk E. This guy is a real cult hero in the scene and someone with a fine grasp on sound design and the ability to make the silkiest of grooves, as evidenced by the opener 'Untitled One' which takes up all of the A-side and does great things with it too. The rolling drums and flaky snares are super silky, like liquid metal flowing downhill under trippy little details. 'Untitled Two' is just as sublime in its synthesis, with gloopy synths, whirring effects and catchy drum funk. 'Untitled Three' is a darker, slightly more intense but still perfectly reduced minimal brew.
