Cosmic Rhythm hits a quarter of a century of releases here with a beautiful blend of jazz, deep house, Italo and Balearic styles on this new State of Soul EP. 'Madrugada' is lush, soft around the edges deep house with a warm and gooey heart. 'Instant Dream' has a more strident and dynamic groove but is again doused in glorious chords while 'Sun Empire' has more expressive synths that twist and turn through a night sky over silvery tech drums. 'Submerge' closes with liquid grooves and jazz-lounge keys that exude sheer class.
