Unknown Artist – Nocturne Edits 003

Belfast's Nocturne collective are proof enough of the city's newly thriving nighttime and illustration culture, thanks to the availability of disused spaces, old noodle bars and art galleries. Morphing out of this stew came several high-flying nights at Panorama Bar, Love International and Printworks - and later the annual Nocturne Edits compilation, the latest edition of which lands in our laps this week. A four track EP of club-ready edits by an unknown artist (though we expect this to be the handiwork of label A&R and curator Jordan Nocturne), we're smitten with the divine rethinkings of Hugh Bullen's 'Alisand' and Visionmasters' 'Keep On Pumping'; all these originals are given just enough extra kick and snare womp to satisfy our long-unindulged re-edit cravings.
