Running Hot – Bad For The Body, Good For The Soul EP

Berlin-based Brit Running Hot has been making a name as a DJ for some time, particularly his adopted home city, but it's only now that he's ready to showcase his production chops. He's chosen to do that by launching his own self-titled label. There's much to admire on EP number one, from the heavyweight disco house-with-tech-house-pads of energetic opener 'Local Dealer' and the jazzier, smoother, deeper and nicely New York garage-house influenced roll of 'Doggo's Groove', to the loopy, deep French Touch excellence of 'Hippy Disco', and the San Francisco/West Coast-influenced late-night warmth of 'Cali', which sounds like it could have been released by Fred Everything's Lazy Days Recordings imprint.
