Fresh from dropping a killer double-pack on Mood Waves, the elctro, techno and 'future house' inclined 'Yearning For Cobalt', Italian twosome Data Memory Access make their bow on the consistently impressive Craigie Knowes. They set their stall out with 'Woodwind', where tight, psychedelic acid motifs and spacey lead lines ride a booming bassline and swinging, techno-tempo house drums, before joining the dots between acid-powered mid-90s progressive house and techno on the saucer-eyed excellence of 'Euphoria'. 'Anthem' is a trance-inducing epic that sounds like an unearthed gem from 1994, while 'Hi-Tee' is a dark, pulsating, bleep-sporting workout guaranteed to push energy levels skywards when played in the wee small hours.
