Like much of Cabinet's catalogue, this label debut from rising star Ed Herbst - co-owner of Beste Modus - explores the deeper, warmer and more intergalactic end of the tech-house spectrum, delivering cuts that could also be embraced by those who play deep house and techno. Our pick of an extremely strong bunch is A-side 'Make Your Own Reality', where gentle sci-fi synth sounds, bubbly electronic melodies and deep space chords cluster around rolling house beats and a toasty bassline. Elsewhere, 'Three In One' is a tougher and gnarlier excursion tailor-made for peak-time sets, while 'Drippin' sees Herbst reach for sweaty drums, dubby sub-bass, twinkling lead lines and the most tactile of chords.
