'Social Obligation' kicks off with dubby chords shimmering over the linear drums. 'Daydream' then picks up the pace and gets a little more steel-plated as feisty winds blow up top while 'The Way It Was' is another masterfully designed bit of economical but impactful techno. 'Linocut Portrait keeps the pressure on with another finely tuned, friction-free blend of dub and techno tastefulness and 'Something Kills Us All' ends with potent, smoky minimalism.
