Lenny San – Hydros EP

Planet Rhythm's SP Series rolls out more heady techno tackle here to end the year on a high. It's Lenny San, who appeared on the main label already this year, who's staffing the buttons here and he opens with the frosty tundras of 'Orca' then keeps it dry and glitchy with his pared-back but dynamic 'Hadal.' 'Kalmar' is tightly coiled around rubbery drums and pulsating synth modulations with more signature dry hits keeping things moving. 'Abyssal' and 'Hydros' are two more perfectly linear, economical tools that hurry you along with a real sense of purpose despite how sparse they are.
