KOLO55 aka Paul Ritch taps into the pure, deep and primal power of stripped back but malleable techno on this new one for the fledgling Positivesource. 'Cluster' races out of the blocks with a slightly hunted atmosphere as eerie pads drift in the distance. 'Zertac' has twanging, pinging analogue kicks nailed down by synth pulses that never quit. 'Ocean Drive' is more full-bodied and warm techno that races into an unknown cosmic future and 'Eskisse' gets more muscular with rhythmic shoulder barges, chattery claps and pumping bass, all sure to get big reactions.
