Unknown – Hirameki EP (Transparent Silver Vinyl)

The next Planet Rhythm release comes straight from the label's mouth, not credited to any artist but instead the mysterious outfit comprising PR themselves. 'Hirameki' takes its namesake from the Japanese paint blot caricature phenomenon, but the mood is affectively unrelated to this otherwise quite innocent home crafts exercise: if likenable to anything resembling the art pastime so named, 'Hirameki' and 'Acid Hirameki' make sonic war orcs out of hard drum machininc foundations, and 'Catharsis' and 'Chernobyl' only barely lean more melodic. Planet Rhythm knock it out of the park again.
