Norbak – Suave

Portuguese producer Artur Moreira bka Norbak fires up his own NRBK label with Suave, a ten-track sweep through the same substyles of techno he's trialled through the likes of labels Warm Up and Modularz. Vinyl buyers get a tight selection of five cuts - 'Short Essay About A Legendary DJ', 'Suave', 'Kimura', 'Mudo' and 'Quadro' - while the digital version expands the set with deeper excursions including 'Navalha', 'Arcada' and 'Augusta'. From the tense, metallic, turbine chamber swing of 'Kimura' to the brooding low end of 'Imanari', everything's motorpowered, and little lost.
