Marck D – Get Ready

Charlie Escobar aka Marck D is a Colombian based in the city of Medellin but the dubby techno he cooks up is very much not of this planet. 'Get Ready' gets underway in urgent fashion with synth stabs that force you up on your toes as the muscular drums and bass intertwine below. 'Harkonen' is a back-lit techno surfer that harks back to early Detroit machine soul and 'Melange' follows a similar vibe but with a more uplift and buoyancy int he drums and unresolved hits. 'Fremen' is anxious copy madness. Unresolved, nimble but indelible and infused with a percussive fizz that heightens the trip. Superb.
