PWCCA – Dweller Of Darkness EP

Madrid's PWCCA (Jose Chacon Benito) prefaces his new techno release with the hushed assertiveness of an occult initiate: "My heart is a thousand years old. I am not like other people." Couple that with the stony, Medusa-Magrittian bowler hat donning dandy on the front cover, and a nonagram of tracks with track names like 'Under The Black Tower', 'Beings And Prophecies' and 'Ashes Of The Coven', and you've succeeded in jacking the creepy slider past max. The tunes are creatively dark constructions, dealing in drastic but out-of-shape synth patches, made to evoke ritual tuned percussions and otherrealmly, wordless sonic curses; the title track 'Dweller Of Darkness' the best case in point.
