Clotur – Retro Reverie

Clotur heads up Warok Music but here makes a striking debut on Sublunar with an EP that speaks to his versatility across a wide spectrum of techno sub-styles. It opens with the infectious, groove-driven 'Glitch Parade', which is dubby and future-facing. It's followed by the sleek, minimalist textures of 'Dataline', which keeps the pressure on, while the B-side features 'Ghost Transmission', which introduces a warm, sultry bassline paired with seductive vocals. 'Patala' offers a refreshing nod to old-school vibes and the title track closes the EP with hypnotic, celestial soundscapes and evocative vocals. There is great depth and quality to all of these hugely effective tunes from Clotur.
