Quelza – Origami

There's a serious hardware edge to these new cuts from Quelza, who kick start Vaults 2025 in rugged and drum- led techno style. 'Funny, Not Really' is first out of the blocks with chunky kicks and freaky vocal sounds marbling the mix to keep you on edge. 'Melting Cards' strips things back to a hypnotic, loopy dub techno sound then 'Kraken Maldive' keeps the pressure on with hurried kicks and deft sine waves pulsing through the mix. The title cut closes with more intergalactic space techno explorations that are hugely evocative and with deep rhythms at their core.
