Rude Futures aka Danilo Plessow – Acid Reaction

Danilo Plessow, aka MCDE, returns after a while away with the first in a new series of tunes on Rush Hour that signals a darker, more twisted edge to his studio work. After immersing himself in live-band recordings for his disco-driven Space Grapes label, Plessow is back with his hands on the synths and drum machines here, with three different versions and jacked up acid all featuring. As Rude Futures, he throws it back to the earliest Chicago house days with dark undertones and prickly textures. 'Acid Reaction' (Journey mix) is lithe but menacing, the dub mix has a fat low end, and the Waking Dream brings more heady sounds to what is a welcome return from Plessow.
