Sweaty Bull – In The Moment EP

Since launching his, her or their self-titled label, Sweaty Bull has somehow managed to remain anonymous. It's a classic case of "let the music do the talking" (to repeat a cliche). It's a strategy that works well if the music is of good quality, and the Croatia-based artist's most certainly is. There's much to admire about second salvo In The Moment, beginning with the pulsating title track, which adds sweat-soaked builds, fizzing synth stabs and jacking drum fills to an Italo-disco-driven groove. 'Gooaaaal!' explores similar sonic territory while going deeper, darker and slightly wonkier, while 'Ego' is a psychedelic, acid-flecked chunk of tech-house-meets-early-progressive house workout. Closing cut 'DUTD' meanwhile, is a thoroughly trippy and murky late-night roller.
