M.A.D Records' fifth anniversary trilogy reaches its midway point, with label founders Make a Dance selecting a typically diverse (and exceptionally good) quintet of tracks to get the blood pumping and feet moving. Josh Ludlow and D.A.S steal the show with the insatiably sweaty, funky, breakbeat-driven and TB-303-laden insanity of instant classic 'Insta Acid', before long-serving Russian producer Lipelis swings by with the nu-disco-meets-89-acid-house shuffle of 'Miranda'. Nostalgic, late 80s salsa house vibes come to the fore on Issam's infectious and excellent 'No Lemoncello (Vamos!)', Bogdan Ra's Imagination and Kraftwerk-sampling 'Illusion Numbers' is a formative house delight, and 'Phone Line' by Meggy Mac is a squelchy, 80s style electro workout.
