Unknown – Early Haze 96 EP (Blue Vinyl)

Another anonymous contribution to the Vibez '93 label, bringing exactly what it says onscreen: 'Early Haze '96' is one for ambience and restraint, its swirling, tape-sampled lead pad being so cleanly it could make a Brillo jealous. The level to which said minimalism is taken is quite difficult to pull off for this genre; 'Dusk' and 'Prometheus' veer in a more classic intelligent/liquid direction, and 'Lips' sacrifices some floor-readiness for a lost-media tape effect, at least in the first half (the drop hitsnice and hard again, though).
