Pennyy – Espresso Brodie

The 24th release on Hollywood's Purple Print, whose catalogue sits in a consistent pocket of minimal and deep tech house with Chris Llopis, Cirkel Square, Venda and He Did among recent contributors. Pennyy has been on the label before, though this appears to be their first solo 12" for them and it's handful of goodness: 'Espresso' and 'Let's Do This' being the quick A-side pick-me-ups in lightly-cooked tech, then 'Lose Yourself' and 'Necessita' hamming up the flip with extra atmosphere and LFO-ambience, the Italian closer hinting at its fiiltered vocal sample's possible origin.
