Venda – Outcast EP

UK producer David Harman is a wholesale Venda of minimal techno as it is done smoothest. 'Outcast' is his yetmost liquid-sounding EP, pickled in acid-vat sound design and carbonated vocal effects, leaving us well wiggly. Venda captures a sense of indeterminacy and confusion and then shackles it to his own devious end, proving even the most dubious of vibes danceable: 'I Do' bops to the sound of what sounds like a confused utterance in a diving cage - "what do I do?" - while 'Error' and 'Dust' skanks, grunts and LFO-mods its way to a kind of secret-laboratory heaven.
