Zenk & Ted Amber – Memesis EP

Returning to Purple Print after contributing one to their second V/A, 'Dreaming In A Shell', Zenk links arms with Ted Amber for a new, formative four-track release. 'Nairobi Market' and its corresponding remix by Amber retread an apparent recent jaunt to Kenya, where a fantastical, mercantile mirage is said to have informed on the cyborg textures you hear here. 'Juicy Breakfast' takes and uses the dried viands bought on said market, amounting to a nice morning metal repast of nuts, bolts, and gluons: fatty acids, rivet potpourri, slippery background sound design. 'Memesis' titularly invokes the goddess of divine retribution but reduces her to an edible meme, as restless, posthuman vocalisations are heard to mutter and chirrup between snap-up beats.
