Unknown Artist – Jetty Sessions 001

Following a trio of quietly impressive multi-artist EPs, London's Oblique imprint has decided to launch a new series, Jetty Sessions, as a vehicle for more mysterious EPs from artists who wish to remain nameless. The shadowy producer (or producers) behind this series debut certainly no what they're doing, opening with the driving, acid-flecked and low-slung dirtiness of 'Scubafunk' before joining the dots between spacey tech-house purism, acid and mid-90s progressive house on 'Night Demons'. 'Sound Picture' is the kind of metallic-sounding and pleasingly trippy excursion that helped Swag rise to prominence in the 90s, while 'Chewing Gum' is pleasingly intergalactic, saucer-eyed and hypnotic in tone.
